We had a great time at Puosada Hanalei, we spent 4 nights there and really felt like we had time to unwind. Will at reception was great, his english was perfect and he gave us a lot of information about the town and all the local attractions to visit. We had the standard room which was small but clean and quiet and had strong air conditioning which was good at night. The private bathroom was not in the room but was only across from the room. The pousada is only a 30 sec walk to Tiririca beach which is very handy, and about a 10 min walk to town. View to the beach for breakfast was stunning. Well stocked minibar too.
There was not much I can fault to the pousada, only suggestions I have would be that having some maps to the town would be handy for travellers. If you can afford it book the delux room that comes with a balcony and hammock overlooking the beach, this is well worth it and I will stay there next time.

Almost everything was great at Pousada Hanalei, especially the location! It was only a 10 minutes walk from the main street, at one of the nicest beaches, with only a few hotels and a relaxed feeling. The hotel was very pretty, right next to the beach, and the owner and the staff was very nice and helpful. We loved every minute of our stay at Hanalei and in Itacare over all.
The only thing that was bad was the loud noise of the air conditioner in our 4 bed room. Impossible to sleep with it turned on.
